Admission Process Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT)

Check Eligibility: Before filling out the application form, the candidate must check all the eligibility criteria set by the university. Submit the Documents: In this next step, the candidate must submit all the documents, including ID proof, educational certificates & mark sheets and working experience certificates. It is also very important to keep the documents choreographed properly, and they should always be updated and relevant to your application.
Application Review and Selection: Your application will be reviewed after being submitted by a selection committee or the relevant authorities. This can take some time, as they will assess each application according to predestined criteria. Be patient during this time while expecting any information from the organization on your application status.
Post-Selection and Payment: From the acceptance into the program or opportunity, the notification of your selection will be sent to you. At this point, the booking amount is to be paid, and this will ensure you of a spot.
Examination Pattern Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT)
The performance of a student in a theory/lab course shall be assessed through a series of Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) and shall be followed by a Final Assessment Test (FAT). The examination evaluation pattern will be divided into two parts, i.e., Continuous Assessment Test (CAT) covering 30% weightage and Final Assessment Test (FAT) covering 70% weightage. The continuous assessment test includes the different quizzes, assignments, mid-term tests and case studies attempted by the students. On the other hand, the final assessment test includes the computer-based proctored examination in an online mode or at an exam center.
All students who have registered for a particular course are eligible to write the CAT and FAT (Theory/Lab) of that course, provided he/she is not allowed from writing the exam due to one or more of the following reasons:

The examination is secured with advanced proctoring technology and a webcam, which measures all the facial expressions and eye-rolls during the examination to maintain fairness and detect cheating. The candidate must adjust the webcam in front of their face so that it can properly read their facial expressions and detect any kind of suspicious movement.
