Doctor of Nursing Practice: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the School of Nursing DNP in Executive Leadership Program, candidates must meet the following conditions:
 
  • Have a GPA of not less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale from an accredited bachelor's nursing program and 3.3 from an accredited master's program. BSN-prepared candidates with master's degrees in other areas may also be eligible. If their master's is not in nursing, their coursework will be reviewed for DNP readiness. Non-MSN candidates might need to submit a portfolio showcasing their knowledge and skills related to MSN Essentials (like research, health care policy, ethics, nursing foundations, human diversity, and health promotion). These candidates might have to take extra courses before starting the DNP program.
  • Complete a graduate statistics course within three years leading up to the start of the program.
  • Hold a current registered nursing license.
  • Have at least 1 year of Registered Nursing experience in the United States (Desired).
