Eligibility Criteria for IIM Online Courses

Eligibility requirements for the online courses vary by the institute and program. The eligibility for IIM Online programs generally requires a bachelor’s degree, relevant work experience, and a valid entrance exam score. IIM Ahmedabad MBA-BPGP

• Learners holding at least a 3-year bachelor’s degree/CA/CS/ICWA or its equivalent in any discipline.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA must be scored in the qualifying education.
• The institute accepts learners with at least 3 years of full-time work experience after graduation.
• The minimum age of an applicant should be 24, and there is no upper age limit.
• A valid CAT score taken within the last 5 years, or the IIMA Admission Test (IAT) designed for BPGP, or a valid GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, or GRE score taken within the last 5 years.
• GRE or GMAT home-based test scores are not accepted; only centre-based scores are valid.

IIM Kozhikode Executive PGP

• A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate mark or equivalent CGPA. 5% relaxation is provided to reserved category students.
• Candidates who have completed CA/ CS/ ICWA with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Students who completed their education from a foreign university must submit an equivalence certificate from AIU.
• 3 years of full-time work experience in managerial or entrepreneurial roles after graduation.
• Work experience before graduation, internships, and apprenticeships are not considered for eligibility.

The institute follows a 2-stage selection process for admission to the EPGP program.

• Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates based on the online application form and supporting documents uploaded. Selected candidates will be moved into the next stage.
• Stage 2: Performance in the EMAT and personal interview. Candidates with valid CAT, GRE or GMAT scores obtained in the last 3 years do not have to take the EMAT exam. Cutoffs for CAT, GRE or GMAT are:
  • CAT: minimum 75% percentile
  • GMAT: minimum score of 700
  • GRE: verbal reasoning score of 151, quantitative reasoning score of 152, and analytical writing score of 3.5.
• Merit list prepared by adding scores of entrance exams (40% weightage) and personal interview (60% weightage).

IIM Mumbai MBA-BPGP

• A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates belonging to the reserved category should secure at least 45% marks.
• 3 years of work experience in any organization after graduation. 
• Learners must have taken the CAT, GMAT, or GRE in the last 5 years. Or applicants must clear the IIM Mumbai Admission Test conducted by the institute itself based on the CAT exam pattern.
• Admission is based on the application form, entrance exam score, and personal interview.

IIM Ranchi EMBA

• Learners must have completed a graduation or equivalent from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks.
• A minimum of three years of full-time work experience at the time of application is required.

IIM Rohtak Postgraduate Program in Management for Executives (PGPX)

• A bachelor’s degree or post-graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent CGPA.
• 3 years of managerial, entrepreneurial, or professional experience at the time of admission.
• Learners must have cleared the IIMR entrance exam. If you have taken the CAT, GMAT, GRE, or GATE exam within the last 3 years, then you don’t have to take the IIMR exam.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview.

IIM Kashipur Executive MBA

• Those who have completed a bachelor’s degree recognized by UGC or AIU are eligible to apply.
• A minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general, 47% for NC-ONC, and 45% for SC, ST, and DAP is required.
• Candidates must have 3 years of full-time experience in a managerial, entrepreneurial, or relevant field.
• A valid CAT or GMAT score obtained in the last two years, or scores of the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) conducted by IIM Kashipur.

IIM Nagpur Blended MBA

• The institute requires candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• Applicants who have a professional qualification certificate such as CS, CA, or ICWA with 50% aggregate marks are also eligible.
• Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience after graduation within the last 5 years.
• You must appear for an IIMNAT screening exam conducted by IIM Nagpur.
• Based on the IIMNAT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the personal interview.

IIM Visakhapatnam EMBA

• Indian nationals residing in India only can enroll for this program.
• A minimum of a 3-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university or institute is required.
• EWS and NC-OBC candidates must secure 45% marks. SC, ST, and PwD candidates require 40% in graduation.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time work experience as of the closing date of applications is a must. Work experience as an officer, executive-level, or higher, or professionals or entrepreneurial roles is required.
• Part-time work experience, clerical work, and apprenticeship will not be considered.
• There is no age limit to apply for this program.
• Learners must qualify for the Executive Management Aptitude Test and a personal interview.
• A valid score of CAT, GRE, or GMAT is also accepted.
• The entrance exam and personal interview carry 47.5% weightage each, and gender diversity (female and transgender) carries 5% to prepare the final merit list.

IIM Bodh Gaya EMBA

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, including CA, CS, ICWA, or equivalent, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. 
• 5% relaxation is provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
• Appear for an online IIM Bodh Gaya entrance exam designed for the Online EMBA.
• Candidates having a CAT, GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, or GRE score secured in the last 5 years are exempted from taking the screening exam.

IIM Sambalpur EMBA

• Applicants with a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent can apply for the program.

• An SOP of a maximum of 2000 words is to be submitted. In this, the learner should talk about their career path, interests, professional contributions, goals, and why they want to pursue the Executive MBA.
• Based on the SOP, candidates will be called for a personal interview.

IIM Jammu EMBA

• Those who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute are eligible.
• At least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA in a bachelor’s degree is required. NC-OBC candidates need only 47% marks or equivalent CGPA, and 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• 3 years of work experience is a must.
• A valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score is required, or you must appear for the IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIMJAT).

IIM Shillong PGP for Working Executives

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• SC, ST, and PwD candidates with 45% marks in graduation are considered eligible.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time work experience after a bachelor’s degree. 
• Shortlisted candidates will have to take a WEMAT exam and appear for a personal interview.
• Candidates can also apply with a minimum of 50 percentile in CAT or 500 overall score in GMAT; they do not need to appear for the WEMAT exam.
• The institute considers the last 2 years' CAT score or the last 5 years' GMAT score.

IIM Sirmaur MBA with AI for Working Professionals

• A 3-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized institute or university is a must.
• To fulfil the eligibility criteria, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. However, 5 to 15 years of experience is preferred.
• Applicants have to appear for an online assessment which evaluates analytical reasoning, managerial aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo an online interview with IIMS panel members.

IIM Amritsar EMBA

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a managerial, entrepreneurial, or relevant professional role at the time of admission. 
• CAT, GMAT, GRE, or GATE scores are required to apply for the program. Or they can appear for the IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT).
• The GATE, GRE, and GMAT scores obtained in the last three years are valid.

Admission Process for IIM Online Courses

While the exact process varies slightly by institute, the admission process for most IIM Online courses is generally the same. The admission process is as follows:

• Application Submission: Candidates apply online through the institute’s official admission portal by providing personal, contact, academic, professionals details and uploading required documents.

• Entrance Exam Score: Candidates submit a valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score or appear for the institute’s own entrance exam.

• Shortlisting Based on Cutoff: Applicants who meet the minimum cutoff for their category will be shortlisted for the next process. Cutoffs and weights vary by laboratory.

• Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear for a personal interview. Some institutes also request a statement of purpose (SOP) explaining their career goals and reason for pursuing the program.

• Final Merit List: A final merit list is prepared based on the combined weightage of test scores, academic performance, professional work experience, and interview performance. Selected candidates receive an offer letter and must pay the program fee to confirm their admission.
